I totally agree Kerry. The only guitar I have that doesn’t have showing grain is my black Gilmour Strat.

Hey Wil You have done a great work on choosing those pickups. That guitar looks sweet!! I hope the pickups work out for you. The Session is a great guitar i will never sell it. I love mine just the way it is. I like the Bourbon Burst, and i like my Black Burst. Enjoy your guitar, I know you will. By the way i won't tell you what i paid for mine new..

Those Quarter Pound singles rip. I did something similar with one of my Strats a bunch of years ago - SC sized humbuckers in the neck and bridge, QP in the middle. It was so baddass I ended up playing the middle position at least 75/80% of the time. Have fun with it.

Syscokid, no not really. Maybe if it was a trem bridge. The sustain still seems to be the same, at least to my uneducated ear.
I had them in my parts drawers so figured i might as well use them.
