Anticipation

Have you ever been really exited about getting something and then after it arrives all the fun is gone? Sometimes I'll order a new piece of gear and be really excited about getting it. I track it's progress and watch it on it's way to me and then BOOM! After it gets here and there is nothing to look forward to anymore. Case in example I filed my taxes on Jan. 20th, the first day that you are allowed to file. I had a nice return coming and was eagerly anticipating it's arrival. I went to the where's my tax refund site to check on it, marked my calendar and it even arrived one day early. I paid some bills that needed to be paid and POOF, it's all gone now. I knew that I was going to spend it on bills, but I still feel a sense of loss not anticipating it's arrival any more. Perhaps I need to order something new to get that anticipation rush back again.

What About the school taxes which are more than 70% of my property tax which I just paid I don't have no damn kids ? 25 year old I work with
has 4 kids he didn't need cant afford until tax time he gets the Lazy young'un break then money for each of the 4 gets 15 grand back more than 50%
of what he makes in a year ?? Cmon Don give ME A BREAK . I'm tired of paying taxes so they can pay people who have kids just to get money,
Sh$t really needs to change How about taxing the Irresponsible maybe if they had to pay the 950$ school tax for me they might think twice before
having them. Ohh here the funny part they all ran out and filed their taxes asap too and they have money right now well wait another week or two
when I go PAY MY TAXES and they are walking up to me at work asking can they have a soda a sandwhich borrow a few dollars for lunch
I say FOOK YOU ! You just blew 15 Grand and I just paid over a grand that already went in your pocket and now ya want more money LOL

Sounds like a battle between the old and the youngins. Hang in there franky...things will turn out better for you now that Trump is in power. I hear he is mailing out coupons for tanning lotion so that we can all have fake tans like him. The ladies will swoon over you.;)

Well my cell phone was acting up on me so I bought a new one this weekend. drove to Best Buy and picked it up, no waiting. Then I promptly came home and went shopping online for a holster. I will be tracking it's trek to me :)
 
I do it all the time...the stuff that continues to excite me stays and the other stuff either gets returned or sold off.
Researching, ordering and waiting is at least half the fun!
 
I remember reading an interview with Ace Freely, where he was talking about how collecting guitars was less fun than he had expected. Before Kiss made it big time, he was eyeing up this Les Paul in a shop window, saving money for months until he finally could afford it. The pleasure of buying something he had waited and worked that long for was never surpassed.
