Well...when @Sp8ctre posted about his new strap he had made by the way-cool-freud @TVvoodoo , I recognized, and remembered him and his work from that LP place... I figured it was about time I tried something new, so I took the plunge. Brad was fantastic to deal with, and his packing skills are top shelf. Not only did he send me a way cool strap(Kal Drago IIRC), BUT he also sent a bunch of case candy too...schwag! Including some cheesy poofs!(unless that was an accident, and you just dropped part of your lunch in there, then I’m sorry Brad, but I found your cheesy poofs!)
Up close and personal, this strap looks and feels great...no adjustments necessary for use with my V!

while I was tuning up my V for photos today, I had a new friend stop in....

I think she laid some eggs at my feet....funny stuff!

I think I sent over a cougar attracting W-H T-Shirt too... reputed to attract the right kind of woman at exactly the worst possible time... wear with caution.
Thanks Brad! The shirt is in the dryer as I type! Thanks for all of the case candy! It really did make my day!
Fantastic experience!

That strap looks beautiful. Very artsy-cool web weaving leather goodness... . And a pic of one of the sweetest looking V's around, is porn galore... :woohoo:

What kind of turtle is that?
Thanks @syscokid ! I had a blast today, playing with the V, and working on another guitar that actually doesn’t belong to me.

The turtle is a Painted turtle. Pretty common around me. I’m waiting to see if I get any Northern Red Bellied Cooters in my yard...they’re similar looking, but larger when they’re mature. The state re-introduced some, a few years ago, in to the wildlife management area that my property abuts...I see them when I go fishing, but haven’t found one in my yard yet.

I don't know what it is about Well-Hung guys and turtles. Seems weird.

Turtles are cool. There's an old retired cowboy fella around here that once in a while takes his tortoise for a walk around the block. It takes him about 3 hours!

And then a few years ago, on the other side of town:
I like living around here...

Nice! I have continually been surprised to find a few interesting critters in my yard over the years. A couple of weeks ago, I spooked a pair of otters out of the stream when I walked out back. I’ve seen fisher cats, mink, deer, coyotes, fox(red and grey), owls, bald eagle, various hawks, osprey, and wild turkeys...among other common critters.

Agree with Hack. Awesome looking straps. Kinda getting the urge for one for my strat. Currently it hangs from an old hippie strap I bought waaaaaayyy back in the 70s when I still had long hair on purpose and not because the hair cutter places were covid shut down. :pound-hand:

As for critters. While we officially live in the far northern burbs of Chicago, we’re more country that town. Wet land about 100 feet to the east. Totally surrounded by timber. I’ve seen lots of timber creature wander thru our backyard. The usual deer. An occasional fox and coyotes. . Possums. Raccoons. We have a mom and dad hawk that’s made one of our trees home. Sandhill Cranes. Oh yeah. One year we had a Peacock come wandering thru. He was seriously lost.
