I had the new Bassbreaker at a jam last night with member Leedspool. Man, this thing sounded awesome! I have absolutely no buyer's remorse with this acquisition and no regrets unloading the Marshall DSL40C. It was the first time that I can remember where I played for 2 hours and didn't use a single pedal for dirt. I only used the two channels and boost on the BB and a delay pedal in the loop. I was able to get cleans, bluesy drive and all out Marshall crunch.
Yes, sir!
Still diggin’ the Bassbreaker! I have a 1x12 extension cab loaded with a Celestion Vintage 30. I don’t know why, but the stock V-Type in the Bassbreaker sounds better to me than the V30 if I run with only one or the other.
Maybe it’s the cab design (both are open back)? Does anyone have any ideas? The amp is new so the V-Type stock speaker isn’t broken in yet. I got the V30 used so I am unsure how broken in it might be.
Anyone else have a similar experience with the V-Types? I had thought of swapping the 2 speakers but now I’m not so sure.
I know the stocker (in my 007 bassbreaker) is SWEET for a 10" --- but mine sounds WAY better through he PEavey Scheffield 12" VERU broke in 80's era speaker
