Another Cancer Thread

Have you tried cannabis to help you from any medical conditions you have?

Personally not for medical condition but I have used with great results to reduce pain after personal injury.
I know a person living with a minor mental condition, cannabis keeps him calm and almost symptom free.

Eases Chemo side effects---and reduces pain for sure--- I know those who have used it for that including my father toward the end--he argued it (legalities) but after a point the pain and nausea were at a level that "legal" not legal---who cares when your time is that short.

I'm just fasinated on an article I read that marijuana can't cause lung cancer but it can help prevent it. They said that tobacco smokers who also smoked marijuana were at slightly lower risk of getting lung cancer than tobacco-only smokers. It may be surprising to some but other lung cancer patients use cannabis products for support. I searched some kind of strain from XXXXXEDITED BY STAFFXXXXand search its medical properties. It may sound to good to be truth but i wanted to hear your thoughts about it guys. So whats you idea about this one? Have you tried cannabis to help you from any medical conditions you have?
Clyde, I find your post insensitive at best, especially for your first post. This is a thread intended to support a valued member during a difficult time. Beyond that, this is a music forum. Please try to be respectful.

Now your talking! As Queen Victoria's chief physician would say about marijuana...it is one of the most invaluable medicines of our time. It will be legal up here in Canada by July 1st. It's about time.

RVA my friend, I don't think his post is insensitive...it's just stating facts. I know we are not supposed to talk about the 'M' word but cancer can be beat in other ways besides radiation and chemotherapy. If my wife would have had the cannabis treatment, she would probably be still alive today. She beat it back in 2010 but in 2015 it returned. She opted for only the chemotherapy and no radiation which makes you throw up and decrease your appetite for food. That's just my view on the situation.

I appreciate and respect your view. A primary reason I think is insensitive is because he does not know Smitty and did not even bother to offer up a condolence. He did post the link to a product website however. Any suggestions you have will be well received by me my friend.

Since I started the thread, I'll chime in. First, I greatly appreciate everyone's well-wishes and thoughts. I also really appreciate RVA's vigilance on these matters. Thank you, Ray. I mean that from my heart and I see your comments as an act of compassion.

But, I'll just say I'm not offended by Clyde's input. In a way it veers off topic, maybe. But, I'm not offended. I can tell you that the rest of the six surviving sisters (my wife is from a large family!) talked late into the night during the whole ordeal discussing other potential cancer treatments (including cannabinoids) besides chemo, since it was a bad reaction to chemo that killed their sister. I have no opinion to state on the matter, though.

I'll just leave it at that, as this can quickly degrade into off-limits topics. But, although I haven't commented on every one, I've read peoples' comments and my wife and I appreciate the thoughts.

That is meanwhile well known in medicine. Although it has been formally legalized for medical use in Germany (as a last resort) it is still almost impossible to get the stuff legally. Maybe because no large company has set up a production system for their own profit?

Seven sisters.
I know a woman who is 1 of 7 sisters as well.
Smitty does your wife's maiden name begin with an M ?
It's a long shot but hey, you never know.
