That analogy is somewhat flawed.
My instrument in question has a 14" long body
And the neck extents 24" past the body to the top of it's little scroll headstock, so that's less than half.
Not quite 4X.
For a total length of 38".An SG has a 15" long body and the neck extends 24.5" past the body, for a total length of 39.5".
They're closer than you think.

That's what I do.
Outline an explorer on craftpaper and lay a Tele in it.
Then just stare at it and take a few pics for later.
Pack a bowl, drink a beer or two & envision the outcome.
Then start scrounging for parts.
Do it, do it! This thread was your inspiration.
Make it happen brother.
