And So It Begins......

2 Summers ago, I noticed a Basketball sized Baldfaced Hornet nest in the ceiling corner of our front porch roof. I was not about to get the shop vac out on those bastards. At night I would spray the nest from inside our living room. I would open the top sash of our window and spray it from 8 feet away. Then slam the window shut and shine my flashlight out at it. Those Russian Mig bugs exited the nest and would hit the window at lightning fast speed. I would hate to see how fast they are during waking hours and not covered in poison spray.
 
every spring i get wood bees boring into the same rake boards and on the inside of my shed.
Just started again about a week ago.
No bug spray I have tried works with them.

have to swat them down then step on them. It is only a few at a time.
I dont think they sting - or at least they havent got me yet.
 
I know Chilli this isn't bees, but the guy across the road from me had carpenter ants in his add a room, had to have repairs done to some walls inside, and they even went up into his solid roof panel awning , into the foam panels, they destroyed the awning, he had it removed and they put up a new one.
