And Mesa spits out ANOTHER Monster.

I got the press release for these when they came out. I'm not a Tweed lover or a big fan of Bollinger's "living room run-throughs" but he is definitey correct about Mesa low end. There are a couple of good demos on the Mesa website for anyone that's interested.

Have you tried the Fillmore yet? I finally got a chance to plug into one - sounded really great but (and I'm a little shocked to say this) could have had more gain. I felt like I had to wind the gain up unusually high for a Mesa with it: I am normally at noon/one o'clock on the gain and it didn't feel satisfying to me until somewhere in the 3-4 range.

Yes I played one in a a store that was small on the sq. ft. and could not really try to crank it up much. I loved the clean tone though. The bit they would let me push it I did like. I dont gig outside of my office so I dont need tons of power, but some tube breakup is always good. My Mini Rec does that really well.

I was at the Mesa Hollywood store. It was loud but by no means full band volume - I would be willing to bet that it crunches up really nicely at gigging volume.
