An Irish song

Way back in 1986 the Irish Rovers had a pub in Vancouver at the world’s fair, Expo 86. I had a season’s pass and spent a lot of time hanging out at their pub. You couldn’t get draft Guinness anywhere but Ireland back then. They had a special permit to import it for the fair. I got hooked on Guinness and Celtic music. I’m a big fan of bands like the Pogues and the Chieftains.

Edit: I was wrong about Guinness only being available in Ireland. I was in England in 1975 and that was where I had my first taste of the black nectar. It was 1986 when I got my second taste.
