I don't know what it is either, but it was cool. I was still a country boy listening to Hank Jr and Willie Nelson in '86. I had only barely discovered Tom Petty, lol!
Ha ha ha I hear ya!
At the time, I thought Motley Crue and Judas Priest were heavy metal until I heard this album.... It changed my whole musical life!

There are 2 very famous songs on this album, Angel of Death and Reigning Blood. This is track 9- "Postmortem" it lingers into the spooky feedback and thunder sounds that starts Raining Blood.

No clue..
I bet @Clockworkmike knows it!

In my humble opinion of course, this is the greatest album ever recorded!

Here's how AI describes the album cover:
The album cover shows a dark, eerie suburban house entrance at night. The front door stands open to a pitch-black interior, with only a pair of faint, glowing red eyes visible deep inside the darkness. Soft fog drifts across the front steps and a doormat bearing the word “WELCOME.” Two porch lights cast dim light on the blueish- white siding, while trimmed bushes frame the entrance on both sides.

In the upper left corner is a large, jagged red heavy-metal-style logo outlined in white, and across the top of the image appears the title “### ####” in spaced-out letters. The overall mood is ominous and suspenseful, evoking classic horror imagery and the feeling that something unsettling is waiting just beyond the doorway.
