There is a proper way to hold a soldering iron.

When I golf, I drive by throwing the ball with my right hand and I putt by kicking the ball with my right foot.

So, I’m pretty right-side dominant.

I gently toss the ball straight up, then hit it with a Louisville Slugger. After that, I spend the rest of the day looking for the ball and drinking beer.

I played golf for a few seasons in the 1980's but gave it up.
Lefty playing lefty.

I tried again in the early 90's righty and was progressing nicely.
Much better control and feel for the ball on the clubface.
Kind of just faded away from it; busy with other things in life competing for my time.
We have a municipal short course very close nearby, I use to play after work until dark 2 or so times a week there for most of the year.
When it starting getting dark and I didnt see exactly where by ball landed, I would walk to where I thought it was.
Most times I found it and played on.

The fumes from soldering is toxic. Solder contains lead. I have a fan aimed between my face and the soldering work area. Try not to aim the fan directly at the work area. Be conscious of the fact that touching the solder is like touching lead. Wash your hands!!!

Don't worry, lead will make you delusional; like me.

Did you really see what I was trying to say? Or is there still apprehension?

If you break a circuit track it can be fixed with solid wire jumpers or there is PC pad repair kits also.

I just bought a lifetime supply of Kester solder. Reviews say it's the "best" brand. It's a full pound. If I ever have to buy more, I'm checking out!
