I have had rotating / overlapping Explorer, Firebird and Rhoads V GAS for the last 2 years.
Never held or played one.

If you played it and liked it, and can justify the expense, why inell not?
If that is the case, I say you are crazy NOT to!!

Being able to afford it and justifying it are two different things, haha. Like most of you, I need another guitar like I need a second sphincter, I just want it and am half trying to talk myself out of it.

What if you thought of it as almost sort of a Les Paul?

After all, it is kind of a single-cut guitar...sorta...maybe...

I'm still kicking myself for not buying Rick Derringer's 1958 Explorer gumby head stock 1 of 3 made.
But the pickups were changed $20K at that time was big bucks back in 1983.

Do you know what else gives me gas? APPLES!:) I just love apples and what they do afterwards especially if you eat a lot of them. One evening I ate about 10 apples and the next morning when I sat on my porcelain throne a Tsunami of fecel matter jettisoned tenaciously out of my buttocks like there was no tomorrow. The ruffage from the apples really cleaned me out and keeps me regular. I suggest you try the 10 apple challenge Goldie...you'll feel like a million dollars after a real good download. Give me a report after you have partaken the forbidden fruits.;)

I know acoustics aren’t your thing, but how would you compare the sound to a normal acoustic?

I’m guessing the surface area of the Dommenget is roughly equivalent to a mid-size acoustic.
