Almost NGD!

Here it is tuned and ready to play. I still need to check the intonation. Action seems pretty good. I might try to get it a tad lower. I noticed both E strings are hitting the back edge of the bridge and the break angle over the saddles is a little steep. Fit and finish seem really good for an $800 guitar. Seems a little more plasticky and less organic than any of my Gibsons. It is completely loaded with reverse taper pots which completely annoys me. Just because I'm a lefty doesn't mean I want the volume to get louder when you turn it counterclockwise. The non standard strap mounts are a little different as well. They are studs instead of screws. I get the concept, but I won't be sharing a strap with any of the other guitars. More to come.

Congrats, hope it delivers all of what you hope for and more!!
Hope your back issue resolves, I've had plenty of them over the years.

I really like that color too.
I wanted to scratch the itch for a more Malcolm Young type sounding guitar for a long time.
I still may put a Filtertron type in the bridge of my only semi hollow - Ibanez AS73.
I have a very bright Guitarmadness PAF in there now; I may try lowering it a little more.

I have a used Dimarzio PAF Pro waiting to go in the neck position.

I'm really liking it so far. The neck is very close to the Gibson 60's slim taper and the scale length seems to be nearly identical as well. Between being a semi hollow body and the Gretsch pickups it definitely adds a new tonal element to my arsenal that I did not have. It has that typical echo and growl you expect from a Gretsch. It really sounds good through the Marshall. Very cool that it has individual pickup volume controls and a master as well.

Congratulations @Cadorman !
It sounds like you could use something like this;)

Last night it got a new set of NYXL 10-46 strings and a fret board oiling. I also raised the tail piece about a quarter inch to get both E strings off the back edge of the bridge. This thing has unbelievable sustain. I saw Randy Bachmann using a B5 and Vibramate on a Les Paul with no mods. Vibramate says it works fine on most center block arch tops. I'm going to go that route when I can afford it.
