eSGEe chased the ripe fruit!




fresh haul from the mulberry tree -- we have a red and a white .....and (look close) the bees did their magic and appear to have CROSS POLINATED the tree and its got PINK MULBERRIES this season .........
this will become a lovely glaze for a dinner later this week --- swamp farm life babies ...

ALSO the geese goslings-- chickens --ducks --pigs --turkeys and DOGS all LOVE The berries so any that fall to the ground are NEVER wasted.


decided to harvest some mulberries-- Shannon got (not kidding) a wheelbarrow full of fruit (water melon honeydew melon cucumbers etc etc) for free from a farm down the road -- we sliced it all up and threw it out for the critters -- a bountiful dinner for all -- they are STILL munching

I lived in a place with a mulberry tree for awhile, 6 years or so....they were pretty tasty!

I kinda miss that place sometimes. I had a huge garden with everything in it. I haven't had a proper garden anywhere since then.
