Alas! And My Tone Escapes Me:

How does that room work for you? Looks like acoustic hell :alien:

It's an aircraft hangar. It's not the best acoustics, but it gives us undisturbed practice at stage volume levels. We frequently have pilots and their passengers appear as an impromptu audience...

That's the covered wing of a 1966 Piper Comanche at the left in the photo...

Fiddling around with the SG today, working out my arrangement for Rory Gallagher's Road to Hell...played through the Marshall DSL40C with 7025-WA preamp tubes and Boss DD-3 delay...

Here is the SG with the original PCB and 490R/490T pickups played through the DSL40C with the original JJ 12AX7 tubes:

Same amp - identical settings - same I-Pad placement - two different guitars....the Squirecaster with a 1992 DiMarzio Virtual Vintage Solo 10k/ 200Mv stacked single coil is much louder than the Gibson with a 7.93k bridge humbucker at identical amp settings:

Squirecaster

Gibson SG

Another short clip.

In this clip I start on the bridge pickup, switch to middle, then neck and back all in the span of this short solo....

Robert, sounding really good. Would love to see a photo of your DSL settings, if you feel like sharing?
Pretty please? ...'with, sugar on top!
Ok, that's as far as I go, but I would appreciate it.

Of course!

I won't be home until after midnight, and I will send you a pic, but here's my basic settings:

2015 Marshall DSL40C - no Internal modifications

7025-WA TAD preamp tubes
Electro-Harmonix EL-34's

Stock 70/80 speaker in this amp - I have a 90 watt Celestion Creamback in my other one.

Red Channel (Ultra)

Lead 1 setting (I think - will confirm)

Bass - Full

Mid - Full

Treble - 10 O'clock

Gain 1/2

Volume - 11 O'clock (loud)

Tone Shift - Out (I think - will confirm)

Presence - 9 O'clock

I pretty much just leave everything here even on the Gibson.

I will send you pics of the settings tomorrow, but I'm pretty sure these are correct...
