Ain't no MUFF too...

...tuff. Kinda New Pedal Day, as I spent part of the afternoon tweaking tones into this BIG BAD mamapleaser. Sounds killer with a slightly crunched amp, thick, bad and hairy.

I love fuzz and this one easily stepped onto the second place in my compact collection. The only better fuzz I own is the Fulltone Octafuzz. Mike really knows what he's doing and his boxes are nearly unbeatable by mass produced pedals like modern EHX but still, EHX does some pretty mean stuff and this one is quite good.

The only downside is the size of this thing. Old school Big Muffs and Fuzz Faces really are a pain to set up with other pedals. But since I play gigs with just a guitar, an amp and tuner-wah-dirt, I'm ok with that.

I have a HOLY GRAIL REVERB in the same style and shape metal box......them old EH pedals RAWK ........have a NANO muff as well .........neither is even hooked up at the moment .......... have I mentioned I am rather not a pedal pusher.....

I bought one of those in 1981 along with a TS-9 when I bought my LPC. In the 90s when all this digital stuff was coming out I traded the BM and TS-9 in on a Digitech RP-12. Kicked myself years alter and have since bought a BM and TS-9 again

I own the nano too, and it’s quite a different pedal. Maybe there’s just too many smd components in it, I don’t know.

All I can say is, the big one is a big bad wolf of fuzz! They’re cheap and easy to find, try it!

It would be hard for me to pare it back to just a dirt pedal.

I’m a big time EHX user too. Started with an old Soul Food, which I found out was indeed better sounding than a newer one I purchased for a secondary rig (again, smd parts and general overseas quality?), a LPB-1 (used boost pedals until I learned I had a volume knob in my guitar and a pinky)... Then the fuzz units, a phaser I just ordered... I really like them
