If you plug guitar straight in, no effects no pedals; what does it sound like?
Do a dry test I would like to hear that.
Tweak the controls and see what you can get all by itself.

On EVH 1968 Marshall Super Lead 100 1200 series the treble pot was 50K not 25K and the 56K most Super Leads Super bass was a 47K Eddie's was a 33K
all of Hendrix amps had that modification if you look at 1966 Super Lead 100 all used a 33K
both the 1967 Black Flag Marshall's I have owned and 1968 Super Tremolo 100 and early metal face 1969 used 33K stock
Jimmy Page 1968 Super Lead 100 used a 56K
Mr Dumble was next level he used a Fender CTS 2-35/250K treble pot measured 300K and if it measured 290K he would add a 10K tail resistor
