Its the middle & bridge both connected to the no load pot. Comes stock on quite a few models, my select has it, which is how I became aware of it. Offers the standard strat bridge without a tone control, or with & the stock middle with a tone control, also without. I really like it & wont have an SSS strat without now. Cheers

This 1987 Squirecaster is now in the eager hands of 9 year old Quinten. It has been converted back to the old 1995 pickguard configuration of a DiMarzio VV Solo (bridge) a 1981 DiMarzio HS-2 (middle) and a 1992 DiMarzio YJM (neck) currently with a black pickguard.
Attached is a 1997 4-track demo recording in which you can hear the 1987 Squirecaster. Lead starts at 2:25 and is played on the bridge pickup through a JTM30 Marshall Combo:

Scott's Liquid Gold....LOVE this stuff....I use it on everything. For as long as I can remember, we always wiped the boards down with Liquid Gold at every string change.

Robert good for you I just gifted my sister in-law a 1964 Strat that's the one she wanted out of all my guitars. Not the guitar I wanted to give her it had been sitting in it's case for 33 years

That is some very nice wiring Robert. I did that dummy load wiring to a couple Strats that took fluorescent lighting too seriously. Now I have been liking the 7 way switch wiring. The open Black Guard wiring on Telecasters. I was never liking the coil split on me one Les Paul but the coil split on my SSH life time and one in a million Strat works fine. Want to see it again? I put P94s from Gibson, maybe. They were in a Gibson box. They being big single coil pups I thought they would be real noisy but they are not effected by anything. I just finished it and my love Tia asked to borrow it. She was overly protective of it and put it in the deep freezer at the place she was playing. Others in the band told her not to but she said it was hot out and the Doctor just painted it. Cool is good for paint. It was frozen stiff when she came home crying and as it warmed up you could hear the hardware fall off the case. She is pretty sharp with guitar repair, so she took it a part and the auto body place repainted it. A three colour sunburst, I was surprised she paid for it. The office lady called me to see if her checks were good? Some wood missing around the pick guard but it plays the same. It sounds good and from now on she hides it in the lettuce crisper.
