Thanks for getting those pics to post. I, too, was expecting to see more string movement at the nut. Sharp string break angle at the nut because of the Gibson headstock angle? Wonder if there would be more movement with a shallower angle (Fender headstock)?

Nope. If the nut is slippery enough for the guitar to be tuneable, the movement will be identical.
Well then, since it's a such a beautiful day in Groovy Beach, a toast to some slippery nuts...And, this nut is pretty slippery.
The delrin by nature is slippery. Plus, I apply my graphite/teflon oil mixture to the slots at each string change. I get no pinging or binding when I tune up.
