A quick rise to ambassador status has nearly come to fruition…Sarge…

OK you asked. Seeing as how each title has to be manually adjusted, I do not see this responsibility being something the moderators here will be willing to take on. Seems like a lot of work to do for volunteers that do not get paid for their services. I know I don't have the time for this. However you were allowed to ask.

Ya, sure - no problem! Hope you got a chuckle out of it if nothing else. :)

Seeing as how I am the admin and creator of this forum, I do have God like powers and can adjust my figures as I desire. Those figures were set almost 10 years ago. You are only the 2nd person to have noticed and mentioned it.

I wasn't criticizing it for the record, I share your view here. One thing I've got to know, though - was Vin the first?? :rolf:

Some people's only goal in life is to get a high post count. Some people's goal in life is to post informative relative posts. Rarely are the two one and the same.
Sheesh. Then there’s me. Thru being here since the beginning, I do have a decent post count…. And have not really tried. And not sure how much amazing insight and info I impart here. So???????

"Informative Relevant Posts" ???????

What does that mean, exactly?

While it's true that many members here at TTR aren't necessarily "all knowing" about the the inner workings of guitar amplifiers, it's also true that many members here at TTR are simply here to post photos of newly acquired instruments, post old or new photos of themselves on stage, post links to music they have recorded in the past or have recently recorded.

I can only speak for myself. Other than reading old posts posted 9 or 10 years ago, it's a rarity that there's ever a discussion here about guitar tones, with the exception that guitar tones are at times talked about whenever @Headache posts a new guitar riff. I love what Headache brings to the table here at TTR from one day to the next day whether it be that he's one day posting a new guitar riff or that he's on the hunt for big game the next day.

We had a member here a few years ago that would comment on every post, even her own sometimes hundreds of meaningless posts just to up her post count admittedly just to gain instant ambassador status even though she been a member for less than 1 month.

The whole reason for creating ambassador status was to acknowledge the contributions members have made to this forum, not to see how many times someone can post a one word reply or some times just a "." solely to increase their post count. Nobody comes here to read meaningless attention whore ramblings that distract from actual thread that they were trashing

I remember her. Then she just sorta fell off the face of the earth.

And yet. It seems like most here are having a good time.
