Yesterday somebody said ... and I quote, "If you bought an Engl, you'd never have reason to use the word Fender ever again....... And in my humble opinion, that would be a good thing! Ha! Ha!" .... I wont say who said that to protect @Headache from any lashback.

My Fender "Fiona" took objection to that comment and became infuriated.

She demanded I make a video so that she may speak her piece and put to rest this falsehood of Fenders not being METAL enough.

**WARNING** Fiona is really pissed off and the following video maybe be offensive to those who understand Guitar latin. But I did my best to translate what Fiona had to say.
Fiona also suggested to watch until the end for her final words on the subject.

Without Fender, Engl wouldn't exist.
Neither would Boogie or Marshall.
Almost all modern amps are copies / variations of the original Fender form factor, used since about 1963.

You may have thought by now that somebody would have improved on it...or had a different original idea....
But not really.

Maybe a copy, but the voicing is night and day different.

I believe the best fenders are made of metal of some sort, though we are seeing more and more in plastic and fibreglass these days

The only voicing difference in a Fender 5F6A Bassman and a Marshall JTM45 MK1 Fender used a 12AY7 first stage
Marshall used a 12AX7 In my life have owned 3 5F6A Bassmans and nine Marshall JTM45's they all sounded different.
Fender 6G6 1961 was a 12AX7 first stage I kick myself for selling that amp.

I've given away Fender amps just to get rid of them....1967 85 watt Blackface 2x12...I just don't like the tone.
