So I had a fan of my old band who lives down here contact me, she wanted me to write a demo for her and record it in her father's studio. So here's pretty much how it ended up. I wrote and played all the instruments, I'll break down the guitars and amps I used in a minute. The singer is 26 years old and I co-wrote the vocals cause her's were a bit to frisky.

I played a Fender Tele and a Strat through a my AC-30.
I also used a Fender Precision Bass that ran direct.
I also used my Alvarez- Yari

I liked using the Pro Tools for editing, pretty much copy and paste.

So, thoughts, comments?

BTW, this isn't normally my style, but she liked it and she was the paying customer. :)

That's very good...she has a "poppy" kind of commercial sound vocally that a lot of people will really dig. I haven't heard it through headphones yet - and my cell phone can be very one-dimensional - but I thought the production overall was very good. The guitar tone/phrasing was interesting and fit the song nicely.

Good Work!

Just a side note, I like to layer things when I write and record, on Crazy I've doubled all the rhythm tracks and added one more guitar part that is slightly distorted, you can hear more on the other songs I have on Sound Cloud, especially "Running Strong", if you listen to it, try and figure out how many guitar tracks there are.

I was right. Sounded good thru the phone speaker. Awesome thru the headphones.
