A comparison of 3 different era SG's

anyone got one they wanna trade???
 
I like the '75...it had more twang in the bridge position more like a PAF compared to the other two which sounded slightly muddy. I also like the harmonica bridge on the '75.

The 75 had the least amount of white noise. Both the 94 and the 05 had much more noise.

The intonation on the 75 is off. You can hear it on some of the open phrasings, while fretted notes are in pitch.

To my ear, none were truly stellar. I thought the 57 Classic sounded the best overall...
 
These things are subjective of course, but my personal subjective opinion is that the '05 sounds better than the other two in both positions, a lot better.
I think there was a bit too much gain for a real comparison though.
