Looks like Gibson/Epiphone is learning the ways of Fender.

MIM Fenders used to be quite inexpensive. Then the US models got really expensive...and the prices of the MIMs went up, also. The MIMs aren't all that cheap, anymore.

Gibsons have gotten quite pricey...now the Epiphones are going up too, apparently.

IS THAT YOURS?!?!?!?!?! Sweet bass. Had one (burst finish) I sold it............now I am BIRD less and wanting another

It's my son's. He also has a Peavey B-90 passive bass as well. This one is for rock. The Peavey is for slap. I just put a Tonerider TRP1 Precision pickup in the B-90 cos the original pickup in the bridge position was past its prime. Tonerider sounds pretty good.
The T Bird bass sounds fantastic BTW and they are so cool!

A PEavey, AND a Thunderbird of white hot DEATH! ---damn brother you raised that one right ! ;):H5:
Congrats.

T-bird was one of the FEW basses i ever really LIKED the sound of a pick on ......man --- you can REALLY dig into those things with a pick.....(crap-- now I miss my Bird)

What amp is running these beasties into?

A fifty watt Laney SS combo that i picked up 2nd hand for $50.
The speaker is a little buzzy but it does ok for home playing.

He uses a 350 watt Hartke head and cab at school but he'll have to get himself a job before he sees something like that at home!

mmmmmm NIce.....

Have you tried a "contact cement face lift" on the speaker in the Laney???? Might buy it a little life for just PENNIES.
