4th Slash Album Drops on ABC Kimmel etc.

Izzy was always my favorite anyways and he left right away. I'm not a huge Axel fan either, but I don't hate him. He definitely hasnt done himself any favors, that's to be sure.

Slash is a decent guitarist. He does get more credit than I think he should, but I don't make the rules. I don't really think about it much either way.

Lol. Doesn't get a lot of my attention to be honest either. I don't dislike Axl either. He got bullied essentially at his own concerts and no one gave a F. So he went home. Same thing I would have done in a heartbeat.

I think what I am seeing here:

First there was Hendrix.
Then there was Eddie.
(now there's a guitar hero vacuum)
Now Slash is becoming the next guitar hero poster boy.

See?
The media and the nation needs a hero like Superman...they need somebody to fill those shoes.
They are putting Slash into those shoes, to fill that void.

I don't think it's so much about axl, or Guns & Roses.
Indecently not really a big fan myself...

But if Slash is "not" the next national guitar hero, then who will be?

You make a good point. There needs to be someone to keep a minute inadvertent thought to rock still being relevant for so many things to stand or it goes to a long forgotten western ghost town. To that alone I'd say if it ain't broke don't fix it.

My 2 cents.

The cat in the hat
is our next guitar hero?

It wont be any of the guys mentioned around here because theyve already had their time. It will be someone from the new gen of players like Tosin Abasi, Tim Henson, or HAL-CA. Theyre all making guitar music interesting in their own way.

I'd vote for Jason Hook.
