As some of you know, I have 4 412 cabs. One has G12T-75s, one has Greenbacks, one has half Greenbacks half Vintage 30s and the last almost has a complete set of Vintage 30s. Does a 410 offer something unique? I've never actually used a 10 inch speaker to my knowledge. Just curious on anyone's thoughts on this. I think I want to get one, but if they don't do something better than a 412 I guess there isn't much point. Debate away!

They're cool and offer up a totally different sound. A lot brighter overall due to their surface area, so more trebly. Jim Marshall himself claimed that is the proper cab to use with his original JTM45 and was a big fan of them.

As far as needing one? Totally a matter of choice. But there will be a big sound difference compared to your 4x12s

You need a 8 X 10 cab.

Lol, are you seriously asking this forum whether or not you buy new gear?

Sorry, had to be done, but to answer your question, I have a 2x10 Fender cab for my Vibrolux. The ten inch speakers definitely add something different than the standard twelve inch speakers.

I like it with a natural overdriven tone, amp distortion. Allows you to push it without flubbiness, also great to have on hand for tracking. The more tonal varieties you have on hand the better for recording.

Eventually it all finds a use.

My bandmate has a Sourmash 4x10 that visually l;ooks just like my 2x12 slant...... looks like this.

26" wide, 28" high, 12" deep. can get more detailed dimensions if you need them.
