40 Years Ago US Fest

It was 40 years ago this weekend that my bro, a friend and I attended the US festival in California. Heavy Metal SUnday (May 29) was obviously the best day. 300k people, somewhere near 100F, we sat out by a secondary sound tower and mostly watched on screen. Later we got closer for VH.
Triumph, Scorps and Priest ruled the day. Their sets were on fire!!
Great experience.

There was a thankful slight change. Quiet Riot opened Day 2, Joe Walsh moved to Day 3

Man, Day 2 is STILL legendary 40years later. That was like a mini Woodstock for the metalheads and certainly gave birth to the possibility of something like Ozzfest and Mayhemfest many years later. Awesome you got to be there in the flesh.

Side note, every time I hear the mention of the Us Festival, this naturally comes to mind. Whole clip is great but namely at 0:26 seconds lol

That was my daughters birthday 5-29.
I did not attend.

But I agree it must have been an awesome show .
