Im not in to billy joel but he played to nite at the new nassua colsueim in ny and they said they charged 40 dollars to park what a rip off they can stick it lol
40 dollars unreal
 
I wouldn't go to a Billy Joel concert if they gave me 40 dollars.
I think he is the most unoriginal plagiaristic talentless person in
the history of the entertainment industry. I hate him even more
than I hate the Beegees and we all know how much I hate them.

Parking is 40 and tickets were 100 lol i use to go to islander games and parking was 5 bucks lol
 
Philadelphia Eagles tickets: 300 and up. (300, and you'll be so high, you can touch the international space station).
 
Last Concert I went to I dont think the tickets cost 40.00.......but that was in the early 90's........
Cd's....now digital--- sounds better----I dont have to pay to park--- and I dont have to worry about talking my way OUT of getting arrested for beating the crap out of some douche bag that spills beer on my wife...(twice--I let the first time slide---but do it again and its on) ...which is what happened at the LAST concert I went to......so.... now I just say NO.
Sometimes the only thing shorter than my attention span----are my patience.

Ticket prices at the Fillmore East were $3.50, $4.50 and $5.50.

Hey, that's almost the same as parking at Yankee stadium....And they have like 81 home games.

Really, the problem is, people pay it. Most drive long distances for events, then they get there, and someone is ready to collect their cash. After driving so long, you just want to be done, so the wallet opens.

Football games are out of control dollar wise. The Giants only have 8 home games, and the majority are for season ticket holders. Cha-ching!!!
 
Me personally I think ticket prices are just way too high overall now days. I know people who pay over $100 to go to a concert. Me, I'm like, I could buy a plyboard guitar - lol...
 
I go to see a lot of bands. The majority are free or a small cover charge. Local stuff.

Tickets for major bands are so expensive. Ok, fine. It's ridiculous, but that's the open market, choose to go or not. The problem are the BS fees associated. Parking is just the final layer of crap. ....

I just got tickets for Yngwie. It's not that I want to go so bad, but I made plans with a 35year friend who I don't see often, so it's a nice way to get together. I bought the tix....And here is where the BS kicks in....

Tix, $40 ea, ouch, but what ever.

Service fee, $12.32!! WTF!!! What service....me going!!??

Facility fee, $6. Are you f'n kidden!?!?!

CT state entertainment tax, $8.80, they get you anyway they can here. Bastards!

That's $27.12 extra, hidden, after, fees.

Imagine paying that for Billy Joel, and then they want $40 more, to park!!!!!

Time to take someone out back, and make an example of 'em.
