Damn, another "wipe the 'phone screen" moment. The gear porn you post often makes me drool Mr Plexi, this example being one of them. Spec-wise, the early '69 Les Pauls are the cream of the Norlin Les Paul's. This early '69 LP Custom is currently for sale here in OzI'm happy this $20k guitar was listed five years ago I repaired a few amps and took this in trade
I had $450.00 in parts plus my time but no voute and a one piece back not the pancake body.

Gibson Les Paul Deluxe 1969 - 1984 | Reverb
Initially released in the late '60s, the Gibson Les Paul Deluxe was a guitar that may have been a bit ahead of its time. The Deluxe appeared in lieu of the Les Paul Standard, until the Standard was revived in '75. Compare prices on new and used Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Electric Guitars on Reverb.reverb.com

One piece back, non pancake, no volute. Previously owned by Rick Brewster, one of the founding members of the Aussie band "The Angels" (Angel City in the US). Purchasing would mean a heavy hit to my finances. That he had the neck shaved to replicate the neck on his '57 Epiphone Sheraton, IMO detracts from it. Cheers
Nigel is building guitars now?
