2022-23 NHL Playoffs!!!!

Wasn’t paying enough attention considering I live about 1 1/2 hour north of Chicago. Blackhawks didn’t make it in. Right?
 
Well, here in the DC area, the Washington Capitals failed to make the playoffs.

None of my fallback teams made the playoffs, either.

So, I'm in a bit of a quandary as to whom to cheer on this year.

It's a bit of a conundrum...

I was wondering about that. I remember that you are a Cap’s fan, but you have a hierarchy of root-able backups. Sorry to hear of your conundrum.

Well….I do bleed “black and gold”…so I’m all in on the Bruins. But there’s a lot to the Oilers Connor McDavid thing…then there’s Vegas, and the Seattle Kraken…both new-ish to the world, and running pretty solidly.
 
Winnipeg Jets is my team! But I am also a Big Edmonton Oilers fan..and in my heart, I still have a little love left for the Leafs..:D

I’ll only be cheering for the Bruins. There are no other original six teams in it. But then the Red Wings are the only other original six team I’ll cheer for.

I’m thankful for the ability to have witnessed the greatest season in NHL history…sad to see their postseason snuffed.

It always seems that no matter how good the season is, they always play to the worst level of their competitor. If they play the worst team in the NHL, they're going to lose by 3 points. If they play someone their caliber, they win by 3. Same with the Red SOx and Celtics. Seems to be a Boston curse to always fall to the lowest common denominator. The Red Sox can be up by 8, and still lose by 10.
