Pup adjustments are not "micro". It is among the most important contributor to tone. I assume you would rather have a brass bridge, but you would be better served by a few turns of the screw. Put it back!

They are infinitely adjustable via pole piece screws and shims stacked under the covers.
Under the goofy but retro looking cover, it's the same animal as a soapbar.
On the right guitar they just look bitchen.
SG Jr. is such an animal.
As are many older Gibson hollow bodies.
George Thorogood would not have ruled the 80's without them.
