In all honesty, I have 1x12's, 2x12's and I've had 4x12's. Nothing is better to my ears than a great 2x12!
Exactly my thoughts...

But two 4x12s wont just sound great to your ears, they will flatten them deaf lolIn all honesty, I have 1x12's, 2x12's and I've had 4x12's. Nothing is better to my ears than a great 2x12!
Nah, not for home use. When at home I just hook the amp up to the monitors. I figured since I have two speakers floating around I should put them somewhere for when the band strats playing again. If that ever happens...
...and they are too big to move around. And they take up too much floor space. But two 4x12s wont just sound great to your ears, they will flatten them deaf lol
Venies, if I should eber get so lucky would be small. On rehearsals up until now I've used a Quilter with a compact 1x12.Hmm. Depends on venues I guess. What you have now, what you wanna haul and setup...
That... Would not be allowed here...Even at home I use a 2x12. My wife lets me blast it for at least an hour every night. I shut the doors in my office, and she shuts the door to the bedroom and we're both happy. Plus, she likes hearing me play...
Lol nah, just ceiling height. Unless your gigging, why move em? If you do, get friends: easy peasy!
Could always be worse, could be four 4x12s!

Since I love my Mojotone Slammins 2x12 so much, maybe you can check if this builder can build you a cab like the Slammins?I found a builder in Poland, they hanbuild cabinets for reasonable $$$. They look really good and they give a choice of materials and designs.

Truthfully, I'd be just as happy with 2x12s, but, got a quad of 4x12s and I am stuck with them. Sentimental type and all lol
