The previous owner had an accident with some type of polish he thought was safe. Good friend too.

It has not been played or saw the light of day in a decade. It sounds good and play great. No saving
this one other than a complete refinish. Before and after pics

Do you know what he used? BTW, and it’s very clichéd these days, that guitar is oozing with character! Play it in good health… :cheers:
I think he said it was from an old can of Gibson polish that went bad. It does not make any sense to me. Next time I see him I will ask again. It's strange, I think it had to have a delayed reaction. It went in deep. I mean how could you not otherwise notice it as it's happening.?
