‘70 …… 351c, Factory Top Load 4, Holly 4B … I , of course, added air shocks to the rear and Cragar Deepdish Chrome Spokes , 60s rear, 70s front …
I should have purchased Stock in Plates and Throwouts …… Kit in trunk with everything to drop and replace said … Lost count but could (and did) do the deed in an hour ……Too many times !!

Blair H.S. is in Pasadena not South Pasadena. I lived my first 22 years in Pasadena and went to Blair. By 1980 I had been out of HS for 4 years. We may have run around with some of the same crowd back then.

Sorry bout that …… I lived in LaCañada ( LC/FHS for 9th grade in ‘74 lol , saw Van Halen 4 times 4 years before the 1st Album )…… That pic was taken in front of my buddy’s house ……His Mom was a prof @ Cal Poly And His Dad was the Heineken’s Rep …… Went to Pasadena Christian up on Lake Ave. in ‘72 & ‘73 for Junior High …… Lot’s of Pasadena Pals due to the location !!

Before Van Halen was named Van Halen, they were a local party band called Mammoth. I saw them under both names. Who did you hang out with in Pasadena back then? In '74 I was going to Evening High School on the Blair campus.

9th Grade That year for John Freeman ……He had a younger brother that would have still been in junior high at PCS … His name was Will
Debbie McClendon was an Up & Coming Christian Vocalist ……I was friends with her younger brother Paul
Robert Yamamoto was another pal
Tom Schleistahd yet another
My dad was the Director of the Sycamore Boys Home in Altadena

Found a few pics from 1982...

Early 82 I was up in the mountains of Nevada on deployment. Kind of looks like MASH.



Then I got stationed in Korea and this is what it looked like downtown...



...and I drank a whole LOT of this for a year.



Finally...the only pic I have of my 65 Chevelle that was waiting for me back in Ohio!
