1977 f150 460 swap project

Finally got the last piece of the auto puzzle. 1977 Ford f150,302, auto, runs good but !! have 2 460's , keeping Galaxie & Fairlane semi stock & gonna make some power in this beast. Will trailer home this week some time & get it set up for use as is till it gets torn down.

I drove a '76 for a while that had a 460 in it. Literally could not take off without burning rubber. That thing was a beast!

Sweet, torque monster !! Have the parts already for about 650 hp/ 700 ft lbs torque build

Mine had a 305 small block in it. I had to loosen motor mounts and jack up the engine just to change about 1/2 of the spark plugs…..

That’ll do. Had a few guys a couple years ahead of me in HS that had 68/69 SS396 chevelles. Those suckers rocked the house.

What bed was originally on the truck ?
Long bed or short bed. ?
It hard for me to tell by the pic you posted of it.

Was fully planning either leaving it rat rod in flattened out paint as is but grabbed some compound & just did quick test..looks like its a type of mold on paint & paint is plenty thick enough to wet sand out.
