1960 Les Paul - $ 285,000 - Free Shipping!

Why so cheap?
.

I'd give em $300K if there were shots of the control cavities and back of Pups.
Funny how rough the front of headstock looks but the back looks clean as can be.
I bought 2 Weber Speakers from Chicago Music,,, but it does make one wonder re: this LP

I gotta say this... This is a pretty guitar. Les Pauls have a history in music and are the choice of many great guitarists. I have nothing bad to say about them. However as for myself, I prefer a SG any day. Joke about the neck dive if you will, say that a SG doesn't sound as good as a Les Paul, but for me I just find a SG more comfortable to hold and to play. There, I said it... Now all you LP lovers can slam me. :hide:

Slam, hope I don't get banned

Id like to know what normal person would pay that .I mean it is a beautiful looking guitar and im sure it sounds sweet but hell one of those 5 thousand dollar reissues or what ever they would be just fine.Insanity i tell ya.And why dont lowly Fenders bring the price of Gibbys ??? Again if i had a 58 or 59 Lester id have to keep it under armed guard while i did anything. No Thanks

Yeah Goo, My 2-3 guitars I paid $1000-$4000 for I was afraid to play cuz they too nice plus too expensive. Needless to say I sold 2 of the 3. My Expensive $1000 P bass I play but keep in a case.
My $300-$700 ones I don't play rough, but I also don't worry too bad bout ruining em.

Ok heres a true one, this ex co worker gal i know inherited a bone stock 52 1/2 Fender Telecaster in the Butterscotch and a original little Fender Tweed amp bought at the same time by her Grandfather. This was bought in a small town music store close to me.She has all the original receits, case candy ect. So a few of us get together for lunch once in awhile and we are having lunch and she says,i should bring that old Telecaster over and let you tune it up.I said ,you can do that and id be happy as a pig in shite to do it but your gonna sit right there till its done cause you aint leaving that thing at my house.Hell no lol.She hasnt brought it yet but she will.No way i want that left at my house.

So see i love those guitars and my Father had a 53 but i went and bought me this here 2015 Fender 50s Road Worn Series in butterscotch for 899$ And it looks and plays like a dream and i dont have to have tranquilizers worrying about it if i leave the house20170519_191618.jpg

Goo, my story is not as pricey a scenario, but I too have a very historic to me and priceless guitar that was gifted to me.
This being the 1938 Recording King Roy Smeck Electric Archtop my friend's dad surprised me with the day I went to visit and he met me at the door to say, he wanted to give it to me.

He bought it used in 1951/52 for $65. $25 down and 4 - $10 installments. The hand written receipt was still in the original case.

I aint sayin those year guitars aint the cream of the crop its just i cant fathom paying that for a guitar. Course if your Bill Gates or that guy that founded Amazon.com it be a drop in the bucket i suppose.

Damn, Johnny Goo & Chillipepeemaniac, those tele's have just re ignited my Tele gas. I've wanted one (especially blond with maple board) for a good while for a Keef Riffhard Micawber (open G/5 strings) type thing, but haven't got 'round to yet & bought other guitars instead. So I've been getting my Stones fix using a Cort strat type guitar. Either of those would fit the bill nicely as a Micawber basis. Cheers

HA! Ivan I have done just that with my Tele......Squire Bullet--- 119.00 to me door--- fooking killer for the $ --looks like a Tele--sounds like a tele-- plays like a Tele---
fresh2.jpg

That was fresh outta the box....now sporting a pearloid PG and 5 strings lol

I fooking LOVE open G --- great way to "reinvigorate and create" new and groovy tunes.

Ivan. Mine is a Classic Vibe 50's. Rumor has it they have tight necks. I like mine and it plays great.
I would not mind picking up an Am Std neck and seeing if it really makes a noticeable difference.
Not sure if you have big hands, but if so, you might want to test drive one to see how it feels.

Weird thing is the neck on my Tele looks small but its really not,Its actually a great neck on that thing.Plays like Budda.I just put GHS Boomer 9s on it though. Custom 9 1/2 guage GHS Boomers on the JRs.
