$15,000 Swindle - 1997 Gibson Les Paul Snakepit

Personally i wouldn't buy any guitar used or new online. Buy from a reputable Dealer. As soon as i seen E-Bay in the video raised a flag right away. To me if someone is so naïve as to buy a $15,000 guitar off E-Bay, they deserve to be taken. ( Buyer beware!! ) I was in my local shop when a young guy came in with his Dad, he wanted to show the owner his used new Fender USA Strat purchase from a local pawn shop. After looking it over within 3 minutes Mark said well i must tell you its a fake! The kid and his Dad were in shock! Mark said if i were you I would take it back to that store and tell them. Maybe you can get your money back. They took it back explained to the store owner that it was a fake and explained to him what they were told . Luckily for them they were able to get their money back! These guys were very lucky! most people would not get their money back.

1. Don't buy cheap, entry level versions of guitars.

2. Don't buy online

3. Don't buy from pawn dealers unless you are certain you can authenticate an instrument as genuine
