12 String / 6 String Wiring:

When I sketched out the wiring for the Von Herndon Doublneck, I intentionally separated the 6 & 12 string necks with their own input jacks.

However, I forgot to add a switch that allows me to quickly switch between the two necks....LOL

So both necks are alwsys running. The upper 3 way switches 12 string pickups and the lower switches the six string neck.

Maybe I need to add the Epiphone G-1275 "3rd switch," but I gotta figure out how to connect it.

However, the guitar is simply amazing. The tone is massive - so much so I am rolling off bass and resonance.

Zero noise. No buzz. No hiss and no squeal. The unpotted Thro-Bak SLE-101's were an excellent choice!

Any thoughts on a wire schematic for the Epiphone???

You could go with 2 push pull kill switch. It should ground the output when pulled.

Or

Drill a hole for an on-on mini toggle. The toggle should have an offending ground in the middle prog of the mini togfle and be in between one leg of each output output jack on either side. I can draw something later if you like this idea and need me to.

I am sure there are many other options, but these 2 come to mind as easy.

Hey, that's an idea!

A full size "Les Paul" style toggle would be easiest to "hit" while playing.

As far as wiring is concerned, I really have two completely separate guitars in there, so I think it won't be too tough to find a way to engage/disengage the necks.

I know some Epiphone models had 3 switches and one could select 12 string neck, 6 string neck or both necks. I don't need or want both necks, so I am contemplating a simple "up/down" type of setup....

Thoughts?

I found this...but it doesn't have my twin inputs....
