11/29/2018 Rehearsal - Blue on Black - Audacity Soundbyte

I have the complete song on Audacity. I plan on adding electric guitar and re-singing the vocals to get a better feel...

That’s a really good cut. Having been divorced once, this song has special meaning to me. Good job on it Robert. You gonna play the lead parts?

Yes, Don, and the song speaks to me from a similar experience. I have the drums, bass and acoustic on Audacity, so I can work on it at home. I'm going to do some really good lead guitar and re-sing the vocals and maybe add my own backing vocals or have my drummer colleague help with backing vocals.

Ok, Guys...We laid this down on Thursday just to see how it would work out. I was asked to do the vocals. I am flat in a couple of spots, but based on this track, think my vocals are a good fit for the song (if polished of course) or should I leave it for Jim???

DAMN! Dude that is awesome! I absolutely LOVE that song and you did it justice! Where is the Love button??????????

Tonight I been toying with the idea of making it harder hitting, since the guys want to drop it because it doesn't fit with the rest of the setlist, so I cooked up some new guitar tracks just to see how it would work...

How does the band feel about Eagles music? I was pondering how much I like Victim Of Love. But of course it might not be a band or audience favorite like some of their other songs. Or is this the Metal band?

Whole bunch of songs are on the table..I'll keep you posted!!!!

Well, dang, that works for me. Nice subtle overdrive over the clean tones. Really work for me. Tell the band mates to get over it and get with the program

Ok,

I remixed the track, with the existing vocals, added more guitar tracks, and improvised a solo at 1:27, so this is more like what I hear in my head. This entire clip is only 1:53 long. I think the biggest problem is my country-esque vocals.
