the real truth is Im a DRUMMER -- just aint got room for a kit ---the bass keeps me tied to the groove --- while the guitar allows me to pretend to be popular, Rich and successful!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a friend who is a phenomenal bass player. He once told me "I don't understand why you can pick up a Strat, and swing it like crazy, but when you pick up a bass you sound stiff and clumsy".

Unfortunately he's right. I think the problem is (like a lot of guitar players) I approach the bass like it's a guitar with bigger strings, and that just doesn't work, because that's not what it is.
