Transfer punch. Thank you! I will get a set And thanks for the nod on the bridge block thing. That part worked fine. Anyway, after I disassembled that contraption, I strung up the high and low E again and stretched the bridge at the marks. The strings lined up well. Since I have travel with...

    Lightning bolt bridge placement

Between the compensation and the grub screw adjustment, why would you need offset? @Hackmaster , if you look at the second pic where the bridge is offset, the strings are not even in the grooves. I bet someone put a compensated bridge on an old guitar that was cut for a smooth bridge on that one

    Lightning bolt bridge placement

Mates, I need to drill the bushing holes. It seems to me, for a lightning bolt bridge, which is compensated, I should put the center of each bushing at the scale length line without offset. Is this correct? Thanks for any guidance

Thanks Johnny. Yes, this will get a wrap around. I have been advised that a 3 degree neck angle should do the trick. We shall see!!

    Dueling Korina Builds

I figured that I can always shim it if need be. Also, my build is a bolt-on neck, and if I did the angle at the neck heel, the guitar would lose the benefit of an easy neck swap. I certainly see your point though!
