I don't know if there is already a thread in this same theme but tell me about your boutique low power amps.
I just sold one, as stated in another thread. It was a Trinity Amps Custom Triwatt Lead. That's a very high quality hand built 22W clone of a Hiwatt DR103. Mine was 6V6 powered but could also use KT66 power tubes for 33W. It was absolutely fantastic but just wasn't getting used. Here is a couple of photos:

I have 2 LOW watt bou-tique amps the 5 watt PANAMA Conqueror CHAMP clone and the Lil Sexy (built by our own lovely and talented Drumoid) --5 watt (correct me if I am wrong) Tweed "ish" amp----the "groovy" vintage looking one on top of the Marshall
Im not sure if the F30 MESA/BOOGIE qualifies as a bouti-queee amp-- but ---- DID YOU SEE THE MESA there ??? isnt it lovely?
 
Thought I would post the Trinity 18W Plexi clone and cab that I have. It is a blend of the '68 Plexi and the TMB circuit.

The cab is an early to mid '80's Marshall 4x10 with Creambacks. It is in excellent condition and sounds wonderful, especially at window rattling volumes.
 
I built a Trinity 18 watt Marshall TMB about 10 years ago.
I also used a pair of 6V6's in place of the EL84's.
Built a cabinet the size of a Blues Jr. and covered it in luggage grade tweed cloth and stuffed a 12" Eminence Neo speaker in it.

Stuffed full of N.O.S. glass.
It's potent, especially with the channels jumpered.

Yes it is. It is called a nixie clock and is made from Eastern Block numeral tubes used to make electronic instrument displays like voltmeters, ammeters, Geiger counters, etc back in the '50's. I bought from a guy in Belarus.
They are still available on EBAY but the tubes are getting harder to come by so the prices are steadily climbing.

Very nice Hack! I love it as a combo. A Marshall tweed!
 
I have never built a kit amp but have built 151 scratch builds so far.

I did buy my sister in law a Friedman Runt 20 best sounding amp in it's price range in Auckland NZ.

I did look at the parts in her new amp cheap parts I did not get a photo but this is a 15 watt Friedman DS 15

My Allen Amps Chihuahua. Built from a kit. It's a Class A single-ended tube amp, operating at 6 watts with a single 6V6GT. The output tranny is capable of 10 watts, and by replacing a couple power resistors and switching the output tranny's impedance speaker lead, I can operate this amp with a 6L6 or EL34. The amp circuit is based on a Blackface Champ, but there are some added modern extras designed into the circuit by David Allen. The extras are: Tube driven Reverb (9", 3 spring tank), beefier speced trannies, a Mid/Raw control that can also be activated with a footswitch, and a Master Volume control. I also opted for a 10" speaker instead of the usual 8".

Syscokid, If you wish to lower the noise floor on your build run a 100R pair of resistors filament supply to ground on Fender builds use the indicator lamp
It's a false center tap. This ODS-100 build look at the red IRC resistors on the photo.

Hey 67plexi... Interested in your info. But my lack of knowledge in what you're suggesting is at very high levels. Would you mind explaining a bit more? Or provide a link where I can take my time and understand this a bit better?
