Line-6 Amps:

My personal favorite Metal amp

I would try that...

I would try that...

If I had a need for this amount of firepower I would already have one. But even in "low power" mode it's a 60-watt amp and although Mesas have, IMO, the best master volume in the business, it's still too much horsepower for what I am doing these days. My 25-watt Mark is more than loud enough through my 4x12 for my needs but trust me, if I started gigging again my first stop would be Mesa Hollywood for a JP2C.

Nobody around here, that I have seen, carries these Mesa's...

I’m lucky in that I am close enough to the factory store in Hollywood that I can just run up there on the weekend if I need anything. Also give me the chance to try things out.

Reminds me of the combo Felder played in Hotel California 1978 Live with the EQ panel...

Been playing through a 75 watt Spider and Jackson 4x12 throughout this project. Nothing else sounds good in comparison. My DSL40C sounds like an AM radio in comparison.

I think its time for the DSL40C, Attenuator and VS265 to go down the road.

I'll keep the Blackstar ID-CORE 100watt for home studio use since its so versatile.

I just leave the 4x12 in the rehearsal studio, so I don't have to worry about transportation issues...

I'm looking for one of these now...

Well, this is an interesting turn of event... :hmmm:.

Tell me about it!

I downsized from my old Marshall SLP full stack for space considerations, but now that we have a dedicated rehearsal studio, I don't have to move the equipment and nothing beats 8X12's for tone...

You do you man. If it's giving you the tone you want then it's the right tool.

It was the engineer that suggested we make the double neck the main #1 guitar on this album because of the sound when compared to my SG, Les Paul and all the studio rentals...

They had that amp at my local music store I'm sure they put it in the dumpster I will check some one left town and dropped it off

For this style of metal, the Line 6 yields a more appropriate tone than anything else I currently have on hand...better than my VS265 or DSL40C...
