And then...there were two...

since it wasnt the LIGHTNING -------- I am pulling for ya Schmitlap!
Give em HELL--
(if them desert dwellers win ---its rigged-- )

see how I set that up there? -- yeah ....

Well...that was a pretty decent first period.

Washington - 3; Las Vegas - 0.

Goals by T.J. Oshie, Tom Wilson, and Devante Smith-Pelly.

I’ve watched a lot of Capitals hockey.

I’ve never seen them play like this. I actually like Marc-Andre Fleury, but they’re making him look porous, and he’s not getting much help.

I hope they can keep it up the next two periods.

Well I gotta be rooting for the Knights, since they are west of the Mississippi. They been playing hit the post this game.

That sound of the puck hitting the pipe has to make a goalie’s heart skip a beat!

Not looking good for the desert rats. But it ain’t over ‘til the fat lady sings.

Well, as some of you know, despite living in LA I was born in DC, so this feels like a long time comin' to me. Really have faith that they can finally pull it out.

I don’t know if the coverage in LA shows it, but DC and the whole DMV area are going nuts right now!

Capital One Arena is packed both for home games and when they show away games on the big screen in the arena. And, they’ve closed off whole sections around the arena during games so fans can watch the game on the video wall outside.

Restaurants and bars with TVs all around the surrounding area are packed during games.

It’s a pretty fun atmosphere, right now.

The coverage has actually been pretty good here, so I have been able to get a feel for how crazy it is there. And my sister has been keeping me up-to-date, not to mention she texts me roughly 400 times during each game!
