Hendrixs manny music invoices

275.60 for a STRAT!!! Damn it.

I really need a teleportation time travel thingy, never mind if I had that I would have bought apple--and microsoft stock the second it opened.....and we wouldnt be having this conversation as I would be sitting on my island in the Caribbean......

Yeah $275.60! But holy crap! $200.00 for an echoplex! That was one expensive delay in its day!

Thanks for putting these up here! It's really cool to see!

Effects must have been hard to come by back then. I remember the late 70s. I mostly remember trying out MXR pedals, the big muff and rat. Now everyone and his cousin makes pedals. It's great.

Is this shop still open?? It should be a histocal land mark i could hop on a train and be in the city in an hour lol,

You can always find out! A group of bikers I know has just brought to life a former 60s parts shop where the members would gather and have good times back then

$275.60 in 1970 had the same buying power as $1,729.08 in 2016

It's not going to get better soon.
I have $ 1,729 guitars. I always thought Hendrix was good because he played expensive instruments. I guess I was wrong.

I better go practice.

Alas, Manny's Musical Instruments is no longer there.
The entire block has been pretty much taken over by Sam Ash.
All those good shops are gone.
Manny's
Jimmy's
Terminal Music
We buy Guitars
and others.
Rudy's is the only "original" left.

I always thought Jimi was good because you know, Janis, Cynthia... Uh... Nevermind.

I recently went to New York City. I didn't even go to that street where the guitar stores were. I heard they were all bought out. I don't need to travel to NYC just to go to Sam Ash, or GC. I live near a few of both. I would have loved to go to those old stores like Manny's just for the mojo.

275.60 for a STRAT!!! Damn it......
$276 in 1970 was worth about $1720 adjusted for inflation to 2017 value, no savings there, bud! A high school friend, who worked for Apple the first decade, now has a ranch not unlike the Ponderosa to play on.

I wonder if sam ash has any pic up of mannys music and syaing this store was once mannys music i wanna go there and see jimis ghost hahha
