MONOPRICE tube amp--

Well if your on a budget-- and want to "dabble" with a tube combo amp-- that is cheaper than any new hybrid mini head-- hell its cheaper than most pedals!
WOuld possibly be a good cheap intro for a newb -- learn a bit about tube changes....speakers/cabinets--- and not have 1,029.00 wrapped up in say a Supro or a Laney or a MORGAN PR5 oh wait sorry the PR5 is 2 grand!

so here ya go --- YES it sounds a lot better(so do the two --lets call them Gentelemen) playing it than the limited test in post 1-- (1900.00 $$$ for a non prof musician or beginner?)--- and they also have pedals they are running into the Morgan-- that cost more than the Monoprice--
 
SO--- if your nephew was going to spend 169.00 -- because thats all he has to spend on an amp----

WOuld you tell him NOT to get this one?

Tell him to get a used PEavey Rage 15 at a pawnshop for 20.00

Tell him to sell a kidney and his wife and get a Dumble ?
 
No my take on the new amps made today is I repair them for my local music store and the key is what's inside the cheapest parts made and they don't last
A percentage of them don't last through the warranty and get sent back and some don't work right out of the box.

With me it's about the sound I wish I had a video recorder to post videos I can tell this the young men just want to listen to rap music if you want to call it music and the young women like classic
rock. their is a few exceptions
 
Thanks Plexi-- that makes sense-- I also notice they TRUMPET-- CELESTION SPEAKER-- but if its a low end China made Celestiaon is that really worth it?

Not sold on them -- especially when you can score other -- all tube offerings--- byu companies that stand behind their products.

China made Celeston the only ones I have had were in a Line 6 Vetta 2 the worst sounding amp ever made I gave it away.
 
Yah, Chinese Celestions are as crappy as anything. Not really a selling point IMO, ya gotta get the British-made ones or look elsewhere. WGS and Eminence make plenty of great speakers.
 
Or partial tube Hybrids that can be had for 120.00 and sound AWESOME..............

I think the Bugera 5 is possibly my favorite cheapy amp. Along with maybe the little Blackhearts and Epi all tube 5 watt'ers.
