Gibson Pickup:

Wildwood specs are varied according to what specs Wildwood provides Gibson. This one measured 8.4k...

I like the 2 conductor braided ground to Robert but the braided shield is alot harder to solder to the back of the pot. Ive come up with my own method for makin the braided part easier to solder to the back of the pot. I take a piece of black cloth pull back wire and i will solder one end to the braided ground itself then i solder the other end to the back of the pot. Lot easier to solder the wire than the braided shield wire .

Johnny, You might want to go with a higher watt soldering iron. I went from a 30 to a 40 and I'll never go back. Everything is easier and I spend less time heating pots, wires, caps, etc (which is safer). Just a thought.

I also improved my technique. I clean and tin the iron tip a whole lot more during the process to increase heat transfer. My projects look much neater now.

What guitar will you put it in, Robert?

Maybe that LP that he hated or the SG faded he hated at first...

Robert is a superb player and musician, but so bloody OCD that he would have found fault with your DTs SG (a nigh on perfect guitar, and bloody beautiful too. Actually, Gahr, I think my SG jnr has a similar hue; kinda aged cherry with a deep blood red to it from many angles - beautiful).

I might replace the Alnico V Burstbucker Pro (in my SG) with the 57 Classic Plus.

You will disappointed - the 57 plus in the bridge of an SG for rock music through a Marshall is horrible, imho...
(The Angus Young is the best Gibson puppy for that... Hell, I'm not using mine, send my your address and I'll send it to you for free!)
