Did We...

...Kill ESG? No not Adrian...

I'm kind of living here now...
That is fine with me! Everyone is welcome to wander back and forth, but this is a place for us and in the style we knew we wanted. It is a place where suggestions will be welcomed and responded to and where an appreciation can be shown for the contribution of the members. After all, here the Admins are also participating members!

Personally, I'll probably meander back and forth between the two sites for awhile. After all, it is apparent that this is a fledgling site and there will be times when seeking information from a larger pool of people will be beneficial.

But, having said that...honestly...how much of what any of us posted on the other site REALLY was Gibson SG-related!? Of course, there are sections for other guitars there, but the off-topic subforum was always the busiest.

Whereas having a forum dedicated to one instrument (i.e., the Gibson SG, the Fender Stratocaster, etc.) can have some advantages, I do like the inclusion of all the elements in a band here - guitar, bass, drums, keys, etc. Maybe a sub forum just for audio gear and mixing sound would be good, too. Like it or not, ya gotta have the sound guys!

Anyway, since most of the people who contributed the most on the other forum are now here, I can see myself shifting over time to this one.

I am sorry what ESG are you referring to killing?
After re reading I think I may have spoken out of turn?

Ahh poo! I never added no killing to the rules. I guess he may just have to hang with Kenny

No body is killing me. :) well maybe ---but I'll take a bunch out with me!!!!!!!!!!! lol

I too still meander around...even to such places as MLP. But this is going to be where I hang my hat and spend most of my time if it stays as is and all my friends are here...

I go to MLP to check on the Silkyn threads and thats about it.
I waste most of the time I should be working over at ESG and AGF, and now here too...

THere is an acoustic guitar forum that may come up if googled, but it is A Guitar Forum, used to be Agile Guitar Forum.
A lot of discussion of bang for the buck budget brands, and the not so much bang horror stories too.
Also, general guitar gear Geek / Freak discussion.

I bit the Rondo SX / Agile apple over in that garden, and quickly fell from grace.
Or, buying guitars, even cheap ones has gotten my in hot water with the missus from time to time.

This is exactly why I, in the end, stopped posting on ETSG. I haven't played my SGs, or indeed any guitar, in years, beyond bringing them out for help with writing a song, or a dose of rocking out. I felt out of place over there, like I didn't belong. I didn't have any guitar things to talk about. I'm also not a big gearhead, which compounded that even more. The main places I hung out were backstage and general music, with a peek every now and then to see if any bass topics popped up in other guitars.

Now I feel more included, and I still have many good friends from the other forum over here :)

I am going through the rooms here for exploration of the new digs, but usually just hit the New Posts button.

Hello everyone. I was wondering why ESG suddenly became a ghost town the past day. Glad ya'll invited me to the party. Good to see my favorite people here. I generally don't mix in well with guitar snobs.
