Well, ready to start my first mod in over 20 years. It will get:

New harness/pots/switch from the Tone Man
RVA donated pups (new) from a Wolf (I think – NCRS)
Switchcraft jack
Nut slots filed and greased (get to use my new nut files)
Saddles greased
F-One oil on the fretboard

A complete setup
Neck relief
String height
Pickup height (real close with the poles pieces screwed flush)
Intonation

New Roto Yellow .010 strings (came free with the BK pups I got)

Kind of like putting lipstick on a pig, but it’s practice for the next mod on a PRS SE which will include some routing.

perhaps a Flux Capacitor would be helpful?

Looks like the bridge is flipped around the other way so that the intonation adjusting screws point to the back instead of the front. I actually prefer them going this direction. Makes them easier to access.

Both my SGs and LP have the slanted part of the saddle facing the stop tail. That allows for the string angle going down to the stop tail. The 61 SG RI and the 81 LP are from the factory like that.

I prefer - and use extensively - the roller bridge from Philadelphia Luthier Tools. It's around $15.00 and comes in gold, nickel and chrome. Its available in small pin Gibson or 8mm import style.

It has a far better string angle over the roller and much greater adjustability.

Wiring all done. Having bought a bunch of pots recently, I definitely like the CTS over the Bourns. I like the “viscous” feel while turning the pot on the CTS versus the no friction Bourns.
