Pack of (5) for about $8.00

I didn't find those when searching, but wound up getting a 18w shown below on Amazon. I haven't decided which guitar to put them on yet.

Edit - I see that you bought JUST the one string, in a 5 pack.

Edit Edit - just ordered the 5 pack, but dang, the shipping was $7.

I should stock up on these. Nice choice!

I Am fairly sure THIS is what you are saying, Robert.
The sound in that video is a warble type of sound. This is probably the result of his Strat's staggered pole piece magnet being too close to the G string coupled with a very strong magnet. The Seymour Duncan (noiseless) Strat pups in my Strat have a very mild stagger compared to more authentic Fender pups that are design for a fretboards with a small radius. I don't have this type of problem with these Duncans, unless I raise the pups too close.
I pictured in my mind your sound to be completely different that what is depicted in that video

If you drop the neck single coil down to the point that output is affected, then the warble will subside...

Breakthrough!!!!!!!!!!

I've been irritated by the jangle for a while now on several guitars, including those belonging to clients/students.

Only jangles when plugged in. Pressing on the strings behind the bridge and nut has no effect on the jangly, Sitar-like effect.

Dressing the floor of the nut had no effect.

Then, I happened to switch out my Thro-Bak SLE-101 in my double neck for a hand-wound Kevin Taylor Erupter. All of a sudden, the twang is gone!!!

I didn't even realize it until today while listening to some playback, then I grabbed it and confirmed it.

Then I experimented with a student's Les Paul. Dropped the 'G' string pole down flush with the cover and jangle went away!!!

I put my Thro-Bak SLE-101 in another student's Les Paul and bingo!!! I had the jangle.

Now on some pickups, the noise just isn't present, even if the pole pieces are right up against the strings. The Thro-Bak's are actually low output, but they have a stronger A5 magnet whereas the Kevin Taylor Erupter and my Gibson 57 Classic Plus are both Alnico II's.

I've now - as of tonight - walked three people through a pickup swap that totally eliminated the jangle on three different guitars.

Keep in mind this Sitar-like effect is only present when plugged in and will persist even if dampening the strings behind the bridge and nut.

So very stoked to have sorted this out!!!!

These are the only strings I use that I have found that work for me playability wise.
